HR Business Partner

Human Resources
Job Purpose:
To support the HR Director to achieve the HR & Development team’s strategic objectives, as set out in the HR Strategic Action Plan by acting as the HR lead on a range of different projects and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to, and where accountable define policies and processes that support the company 
  • People strategy and objectives
  • Use and understand People tools and policies, engaging with Divisional clients effectively to ensure their use across the organisation
  • Drive consistency of approach in attracting, managing and developing talent to support current and future organisational needs
  • Work closely with all People colleagues to ensure that tools and policies are aligned, enhance employee engagement and ultimately improve performance.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of tools and policies and understand the landscape for further improvement.
  • Provide expert input across a range of HR issues (generalist / specific expertise
  • Coach and build the capability of senior managers to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues.
  • Participate in relevant projects, leading and championing as appropriate the reputation as a world class organisation and employer of choice.
  • Keep up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise and HR more broadly.
  • Continuously drive improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight and internal best practice.
  • Proactively share best practice, intelligence and potential pan-company activities within HR function.
  • Build relationships and form alliances with external counterparts, communities of practice and stakeholders to scan for innovations and opportunities to form partnerships.
  • Be an ambassador for the function and represent the HR internally and externally (as appropriate)


Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification
  • Chartered Member of Institute of Personnel and Development desirable
  • Experience of working as HR Assistant / Adviser in HR Function and working in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent management skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong track record of handling employee cases
  • Able to work collaboratively and in multicultural teams
  • Good knowledge of employment law in the UK and ideally other countries within Europe and elsewhere
  • Demonstrates a resilient and positive can do attitude
  • Have an interest or knowledge of aviation and in particular the cargo sector
