Revenue Optimization Analyst

Job Purpose:
To drive and support delivery of volume and revenue targets, and optimise network contribution through the support and challenge of the Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Steering
  • Provide revenue targets and support the financial planning process
  • Drive and co-ordinate achievement of commercial plans
  • Monitor pricing activity and support the regions in tender processes
  • Evaluate capacity deals (regional, network wide)
  • Understand and keep abreast of the market conditions, customers, capacity
  • Monitor performance of key global accounts, and identify opportunities to increase customer support
  • Attend and present at regional meetings

Route Performance:
  • Set route strategy based on historic trends, market and competitor data and expected demand
  • Optimise the regions capacity allocations, revenue barriers and customer allocations
  • In depth regional analysis to identify opportunities to increase contribution and then to drive these through with the stakeholders
  • Manage the application and monitor effectiveness of agreed pricing guidelines
  • Co-ordinate commercial input in the event of ad hoc schedule changes and resolve capacity conflicts

Business Information:
  • Delivery of Business Management information pertinent to the successful commercial management of the business (reports and commentary)
  • Set a reporting structure that tracks performance of commercial initiatives
  • Provide insightful analysis and commentary to support the Commercial team to achieve the financial plan by highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Provide detailed commercial insights to support the Commercial team in customer meetings and negotiations
  • Understanding of the capacity assumptions made in the financial plan, effectively tracking any un-forecasted capacity changes

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of cargo commercial, or revenue management
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an analytical role e.g. in data analysis with strong excel skills
  • Solid team player who’s also an independent thinker
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Ability to think and work cross-functionally and across various countries/cultures
  • Ability to create appropriate management information and insight from various sources of data
  • SQL/Tableau knowledge
